Studio Policies

  • Dance Surge is striving to be a peanut-free studio; please do not bring any peanuts or nut products to the studio.
  • Any questions regarding classes, fees, upcoming events, costumes, or any of the information within the registration package must be directed to the Dance Surge administration. Please do not approach the dance teacher.
  • If you want to discuss your child's progress, please approach Dance Surge administration to set up a meeting with the appropriate teacher(s).
  • Dance Surge has the right to combine or cancel classes, temporarily or permanently, due to an emergency or low enrolment. Teachers are subject to change without notice.
  • Food and drinks are not permitted in the studios; however students are encouraged to bring water bottles.
  • There is a No Gum Chewing policy at Dance Surge. Gum chewing is unsafe when dancing and is not allowed in the dance class.
  • Do not leave clothes or bags in the studios or hallways. Instead, store all belongings in the change rooms.
  • Dance Surge is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged personal items. We ask that all dancers leave valuables at home.
  • All dancers must stay inside the studio until their parent/guardian picks them up. Dancers must remain in the front foyer. Dancers are not allowed to wait outside the building under any circumstances.
  • If a dancer has a break between their classes, dancers are not allowed to leave the premises unless accompanied by an adult or their parent/guardian. Dance Surge is not responsible for children who do not adhere to this policy.
  • If a minor accident occurs (cuts, scrape or fall) the dancer is responsible to notify the teacher, who will then administer first aid, and the parents/guardians will be notified by phone if any accident occurs.
  • In the event of extreme weather conditions, classes may be cancelled. Call 905-886-3515 to hear a recorded message.
  • If you would like to post information on the studio bulletin board in the hallway, please submit your material to the office for approval. Dance Surge reserves the right to remove any material from the studio bulletin board that has not been approved.
  • Note tights, shoes or other related dance items are not included in tuition fees.
  • Should you have a complaint, we will document your concern and you will be contacted in 7-10 business days.
